From April 21 to 23, 2026, representatives of the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research – Dr Marija Smederevac-Lalić, Dr Karolina Sunjog, Dr Dušan Nikolić, and Dr Jovana Kostić participated in the annual meeting of the international DANUBE4all project, hosted at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in Budapest, Hungary. The meeting brought together project partners with the aim of exchanging knowledge, monitoring of the project progress, and planning future activities. Dr Marija Smederevac-Lalić, who leads Work Package 3 (WP3), presented ongoing activities related to the cross-border biodiversity monitoring scheme and initiated a discussion on the possibilities for conducting post-monitoring of fish and other biological components at demonstration sites. The inspiring atmosphere was further enriched by a field visit to a site within the Duna-Ipoly National Park, where participants had the opportunity to learn about a concrete example of planned restoration. Many thanks to our partners from Budapest and their team for their warm welcome and excellent organisation of the meeting.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration and taking new steps toward a more sustainable Danube Basin!
