Taylor & Francis, one of the world’s leading academic publishing houses that publishes more than 2,500 international scientific journals across various fields, has published an interview on its new Digital Hub with Dr. Bojan Tomić, Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, on the occasion of his second paper dedicated to the history of our Institute.

The paper, titled Integrating archaeology and materials science: a review of multidisciplinary analysis of bricks from medieval Serbian buildings, refers to a significant project carried out during the 1980s and 1990s involving members of the Department of Materials Science, led by the Institute’s director at the time, Academician Momčilo Ristić. This research represents an outstanding example of the successful integration of archaeology and materials science, while Dr. Bojan Tomić’s paper sheds light on and preserves an important part of our Institute’s scientific heritage, presenting it to the international scientific community.

It is particularly significant that, according to official information from the journal’s editorial board, this paper is currently among the most downloaded. Such a result testifies to the great interest of the international scientific community in the topic, and also confirms the importance of our Institute’s scientific heritage in the contemporary research context.

The published interview represents an important step in promoting the history of the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, as well as the contributions of generations of researchers who have developed this institution since its founding and laid the foundations of its international reputation.
