Environmental and Sustainable Development (ENVISUS)
The research of the ENVISUS Group focuses on the analysis of the causes and consequences of negative processes in the pedosphere, including lateral and temporal interactions between soil and soil biota and the environment, as well as their response to external anthropogenic and natural influences. These processes contribute to climate neutrality and the ability of plants to cope with stress, which requires the use and study of natural products to improve plant resilience.
In addition, the group focuses on biotechnology in forestry, with an emphasis on forest ecology, phytoremediation, environmental protection, and sustainable development, including the assessment of exposure, risks, and effects of pollutants and toxic heavy metals in natural and contaminated ecosystems.
