The project R&D activities are related to waste water treatment in the Serbian energy sector. A novel technology for environmental protection by cleaner production will be applied. A special problem represents the various types of oily water. The goals of the project include, as follows: 1. Identification and characterization of waste water; 2. The development of solutions for the oily and other waste waters; 3. The development of new technologies and application of Best Available Technologies of minimization of waste water at source; 4. The development of cleaner production processes based on internal recycling of water; 5. The development of cleaner production processes based on external recycling of water; 6. The development of new technological processes based on microreactor technology and process intensification; 7. Research studies based on the environmental protection, cleaner production and development of next generation process technologies.
