PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Experts from three countries - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, with assitance from Norwegian experts - worked together to provide a socio-economic survey and analysis of fish and river fisheries stock of the Danube and Sava Rivers. The objective of the project was to facilitate effective decision making in freshwater fisheries management through joint policy development and institutional strengthening, along with the documentation of best practices and increasing awareness for effective fisheries management. Additional objectives of the project are to set up a broad framework of cooperation.
