PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The aim of this project was to overcome the existing gaps in the knowledge related to fish stocks and to establish a good basis to implement long-term fish stock monitoring program in fishery waters on the territory of the city of Belgrade. Results of this project improved fish stock management system in Belgrade fishery waters and contributed to more efficient implementation of fishery related legislation. The main object of research was to determine current state of fish resources in Belgrade fishery waters, to conduct their valorisation and to evaluate current level of commercial and recreational fishery pressure on this resource, in order to establish a good basis for the development of a monitoring system on the state of fish stocks and their exploitattion, a s well as on the state of fish meat quality.
