Assessment of microbiological indicators of faecal pollution in surface waters, in order to determine the presence of untreated municipal wastewater. Assessment of the impact of pollution on aquatic ecosystems using fish as bioindicators, by applying comet assay to determine the level of DNA damage, micronucleus test to determine clastogenic and aneugenic effects, as well as histopathological analysis of fish tissue.

Skills

Methodologies: analysis of the presence of metals and metalloids using the ICP-OES, comet assay, micronucleus test, histopathological analyses of fish liver and gills. Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Statistics, SPSS.
