Research area

  • Materials science, inorganic chemistry and solid state chemistry and physics.
  • Chemical, mechanochemical and solvothermal methods for synthesis metal oxide electroceramic materials.
  • The application of innovative sintering methods current and/or pressure assisted (Spark plasma sintering and Cold sintering).
  • Synthesis and characterization of the conductive electroceramics with linear current-voltage characteristic, based on barium stannate (BaSnO3), lanthanum nickelate (LaNiO3), and zinc oxide (ZnO).
  • Structural, microstructural, electrical and optical properties of ceramic materials.
  • Perovskite and perovskite related materials. Hydrothermal synthesis and characterization of magnesium (Mg) doped copper oxide (CuO) powders. Synthеsis and characterization of sensor materials based on tin oxide (SnO2), zinc oxide (ZnO) and cobalt oxide (Co3O4).

Skills

Trained to operate on the following instruments: instruments for electrical characterization (impedance analyzer Hioki LCR HiTester 3532-50 and HP 4192A, source measure unit Keithley 237), UV-Vis spectrometer (Shimadzu UV-2600).

Operable in following software programs: Gatan DigitalMicrograph, CrystalMaker, PowderCell, EIS Spectrum Analyser.
