Research Interests

 

• Solid state physics.

• Synthesis and characterization of the new materials, especially electroceramics (ZnO and SnO2 varistors, BaTiO3, (BaxSr1-x)TiO3, PZT, PMN, electrode materials for SOFC, multiferroics, thermoelectrics, photovoltaics). These include conventional synthesis of bulk ceramics, sol-gel methods of preparation of thin films (spin coating, dip coating and spray pyrolysis), preparation and characterization of the ferroelectric materials, mechanochemical synthesis, measurements of electrical properties of the electroceramics (impedance spectroscopy, U-I characteristics, C-V measurements, polarization hysteresis, piezoelectric properties, etc.) and other methods of materials characterization such as DTA/TG, dilatometry, X-ray powder diffraction analysis, SEM, AFM, magnetic measurements etc.
